I do enjoy day trips around the Bay Area, however I don't always have the time to drive around it. Most often, I like to stay in and around Solano County. Fairfield, CA has some open spaces in the hills to the north of town. I usually browse Google Maps and Google Earth to find interesting places to photograph.
