Update: TRAIL CLOSED - Devil's Punchbowl Falls
On February 18th I had the opportunity to hike to the Devil's Punchbowl Falls in the small town of Angwin, CA. I have a friend who attends Pacific Union College there and hiked to the falls before. After a drive north through scenic Napa Valley, I came to the trailhead.
UPDATE: 4/25/15 TRAIL CLOSED
I had received an email from the facilities manager of St. Helena hospital which owns the property the falls are located on. The land is not an open space and the falls are a part of the water supply for the area. The increasing popularity of the hike has caused some harm to the trail and nearby equipment by those who don't follow the hiking adage "take only memories, leave only footprints". The property owner clearly states the property is private and trespassers will be prosecuted. Upon request, I have removed the street address and trail descriptions from this post.
